- THE LEGEND OF MARIA MAKILING
- A fairy named Maria, also known as Maria Makiling by the villagers.
- She went to town with a basket of fruits and decided to sell those in the market. She then gave the money she earned for the fruits to the fortunate.
- A teenaged farmer who had fallen out of love with her loveliness chased her through into woods in private. She moved so fast into the dense forest area that he lost sight of her.
- He looked for her following morning, but she didn't even come to town each day or any next day. The teenage boy then proceeded in into woods to seek for her but never returned.
- To this day the old folks believe Maria Makiling still haunt the mountain .The mountain covered with many fruit-bearing trees. You may at all the fruit you wish but do not try bring any of it home. If you do, then you will lose your way.
