- Transformations are when you move/slide a dot or shape through the coordinate plain.
- Translations are when u move or slide a dot across the coordinate plane. For Example the Garbage truck is travelling neighborhood to neighborhood Its coordinates currently are (-5,6) it moves to another neighborhood (4 units right then another 7 units down. Its current coordinates are now (-1,-1)
- Reflection when you take a point or shape and mirror it across the X or Y-axis. Some construction workers are building a square they have a blueprint on a graph they decide to mirror it on the Y-axis the current coordinates are (5,-8) (5,-4) (10,-4) (10,-8) but after they mirror its new coordinates are (-5,-8 ) (-5,-8) (-10,-4) (-10,-8).
- Rotation are when you move a dot or shape 360 degrees around the origin in the coordinate plane as you rotate the (X,Y) coordinates flip (Y,X). The truck that delivers food for the store its current coordinates are (7,3) in front of the store. It rotates 180 degrees to get the back of the store now its coordinates are (-7,-3).
