The narrator's mother asks the narrator to go clean the basement

There was once a boy named Bodh Raj. He was one of the oddest boys in the class. He was feared by all. He had live birds and a weird assortment of things in his pocket. It was believed that if Bodh Raj was bit by a scorpion, the scorpion would die. His mother even called him a "rakshasan." After class, he would hunt in forests nearby.
The next day they went to the basement.
Let us clean this place
It was near to a forest where many animals would live. Bodh Raj thought the place was an excellent hunting ground. The narrator would talk to him sometimes. The narrator's mother did not approve of his friendship with Bodh Raj.
The kite then moved from one beam to another. Bodh Raj took it and put it in a box far from the kite.
Mom said, " I did not suggest he kill the birds."
The next day, Bodh Raj did not show up with a catapult but with seeds
They started cleaning the place when they found a nest. Bodh Raj then started to shoot with his catapult. Then a kite appeared and then started coming near the nest. Bodh Raj started to shoot it however missed most of the time. He told the narrator to shoot while he got the nest.
Then Bodh Raj said to the narrator to fetch some water. He dropped few drops of water and gave them some seeds.
We watched their antics the next day.
