- The winter at valley forge was hard. The stories about it were also exaggerated. Some men did not have enough clothes. There was a lot of diseases there, like influenza, typhus, and typhoid.

- George washingtons quarters had furniture in it. It had a fireplace. He had an office where he would meet with generals. there was a room for an assistant officer too.

- The soldiers quarters were log cabins. George Washington ordered for all of them to have two windows each. They had straw beds. There were fireplaces to keep them warm.
