Rising action
The story starts when Maria and Leon arrive in Nagrebcan. Baldo fetches the couple and rides on a carriage, hitched on a cow, named Labang. Maria was hesitant at first but eventually for on the carriage.
Climax
Baldo leads Labang to the dry waig, instead of the carmino real. Leon laid his hand on Baldo's shoulder heavily and asked why he took the waig instead of the Camino Real, Leon bit his fingers onto Baldo's shoulder and asked again.
Ending

Baldo answers that their Father asked him to take the waig to go home, and Leon removed his hand on Baldo's shoulder and laughed on Baldo's answer. Maria soon tells Leon that she worries that their Father might not like her. Leon reassures her that he is the mildest tempered, gentlest man he has ever known.
They later arrived home where they were greeted by Leon's and Baldo's mother. Leon introduced Maria to his mother. When Baldo asked where their father is their mother replied " Your father is in his room, his leg is bothering him again." Baldo excused himself to greethis father.
Baldo and his father talked in private and Baldo told his father about Maria and what she was like, his father got a positive assumption on Maria due to Baldo answering all his questions in a positive way. The Father asks him to water Labang and talks to Leon and Maria, he later approves Maria as his son's wife.
