- Democritus was a Greek philosopher who proposed that all matter was made up of indivisible parts called Atomos (Atoms). He also believed that atoms cannot be destroyed.

- John Dalton comes first with his proposal that atoms cannot be created or destroyed. Dalton also stated that Atoms of the same element are similar in mass and shape but different from other atoms from other elements.
- I am John Dalton and was around in (1808). You guys may know me from my Cannonball model!
- Dalton came up with the idea of compounds as well as giving us the knowledge of what chemical reactions were (rearrangement of atoms). Dalton is also known for conducting experiments with balances.

- Dmitri Mendeleev was a Russian chemist that is know for his development of the periodic table. He arranged the elements on this table based on their properties and atomic masses and as well as increasing by atomic number.
- I also helped provide a better understanding for the relationship between the elements for everyone .
- I am Dmitri Mendeleev (Father of the Periodic table) in 1869. I was able to predict undiscovered elements properties with great accuracy.
