Elie no longer believes in God. He used to believe that his prayers and actions affected the world and his outcome but now he thinks that all was a lie. He doesn't pray anymore and doesn't believe God is above man.
Man vs Society
When Elie is having to run naked for selection he had a lot of self-doubt. He was telling himself that he was going to get picked to go into the fire because he was too skinny and slow.
Elie's dad is telling him that he can't fall asleep This is an example of Man vs Nature because if Elie falls asleep in the snow he won't wake up.
Everyone in town doesn't believe Moishe. They thought that he wanted pity and money. He was only trying to tell them what was going to happen to them next.
