The Rich Fool Luke 12:16-21 By Sam Bull The parable tells us that god is not one who rewards those with big achievements if the one doesn't share their goods with the poor. It also is a good example of Jesus who is sharing his gift with others less unfortunate. Jesus told the story because he wants to spread the Moral of the story. It tells us that people can be very greedy when they have a good idea.
Jesus told the kids the parable of The Rich Fool one more time.
"There once was a man who was very rich because of his crops."
"Since I have nowhere to put my crops, I shall tear down my barn to build bigger ones and store all my grain and goods."
This man is being selfish and inconsiderate by keeping all this extra food for himself for no reason.
"Haha, Now I can have all my goods safely stored and rest for a very long time!"
This is very bad, the man is just going to stop working just so he can rest and be rich.
God arrived to the man and taught him that money doesn't matter.
"You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?"
"The man was being very foolish because he thought that he was being smart but he was just being selfish. God does not care about that."
