This is the Sensorimotor stage of Piaget where the baby has basic reflexes and explore and develop these further through schemata of sense and can cause the baby to go onto the next stage of object permanence. In this example if we were to take the ball away from the baby the baby might think the ball is there on its hand when it actually isn't and the baby is have reflexes of sucking and touching the ball.
Hey Sweetie! I see you playing ball.
This is the pre-operational stage where the development of language is well developed and causes the children at ages 2-6-7 to feel egocentric and oriented to themselves but they seem not to understand the idea of conservation where physical quantities are constant in spite of changes in appearance or color. In this example, the girl thinks that shoes are not similar because they are different color which is true but these shoes are all same despite their color or comfortable showing lack of conservation.
These shoes are similar but why are they in different colors, I like my shoes better that and I wouldn't give those shoes because they are different colors.
