Part 6: Odysseus Tells His Tale: Escape
They won't get away with this!
Odysseus began his plan and offered the cyclops wine to finish off his meal. The cyclops took this gesture and drank and appreciated it. He also is going to stab the cyclops in the eye and blind it, and they gave it the wine to help it fall asleep and not wake up.
The men heated up the big piece of wood, stabbed it into the cyclops’ eye, and twisted around and around. The cyclops was yelling in pain, and his neighbors asked what was wrong, and told him it was a sickness/pain from Zeus.
ZZZZZZ
The men tied themselves to the stomachs of sheep to escape. They then loaded themselves and the sheep onto their boat and yelled to the cyclops, mocking him about how they escaped.
