Reagan's Rock Cycle

- Hi! My name is Reagan the Rock, and today I am going to be taking you along on my journey through The Rock Cycle.
- At last! I have finally risen from under this volcano in the form of melted magma, and I have cooled down to become an Igneous Rock.
- Wow! Now, I am undergoing extreme heat and pressure, which is transforming me into a Metamorphic Rock.
- Oh no! There has been a big hurricane that has weathered and broken me down into all of these little pieces, known as sediment. I wish to go back home. I can't stand being all torn up like this!
- Hooray! I have found other pieces of sediment just like me, and we have come together, or compacted, to form Sedimentary Rock. I am finally all back together again!
- The final step of my journey that I will be sharing with you today is extreme heat and pressure that will cause me to become a Metamorphic Rock. After this, I will continue to go through The Rock Cycle all throughout my life, and one day will be dug up by geologists, studied and examined, and then start my journey all over again.
