- In rural areas there is often a lack of or poor provision of basic utilities such as sanitation and electricity. This can lead to disease and lack of resources for businesses.
- Hi James, is everything okay?
- I might have to close "James' Plumbing and Electrical" because people don't have access to basic utilities, such as water and electricity.
- The education in rural areas is often minimal or poor.
- Oh no, that's terrible!
- Enough about me. How have you been?
- I wish I had been better educated on how to run a business. Now all of my previous employees will suffer.
- There are often high crime rates in rural areas as people are not able to
- So what are you planning to do now?
- Oh well...not that great! My house was broken into and all of my savings for this year were stolen.
- That is terrible, Suzie.
- In urban areas there is often a much higher/better provision of education.
- I would move to town, as I would be able to improve my education by going to school or university.
- I would also like to move to the city because I want to have the opportunity to socialize more with people my age.
- There are many more opportunities to socialize and make friends in urban areas. eg. Gym, Places of worship, school/university, cinemas.
- There is much better emergency relief or better provision of health care as hospitals are in close proximity to settlements.
- Granny Linda will also receive much better health care than she currently is.
