- The Nobility who were rich and powerful. A person could become nobility from birthright or a title granted by a monarch. There were only a small number of noblemen in the country, approximately less then 100. They were also the Queens advisors.
- Gentry are people like knights, gentlemen and gentlewomen whose fortunes were great enough that they didn't have to work with their hands for a living. They spent their money on big houses and were important to local areas because they had important jobs. Their numbers grew rapidly, and became one of the most important classes of Elizabethan time. Gentry owned land but did not work the land.
- Yeomanry also known as the middle class are people who had savings and lived a comfortable life. They owned land but not as much as the gentry. They worked to expand their land and to improve it, their wealth was not stable like the gentry. The Yeomanry directs and Illness or famine could lead to Yeomanry bankrupt. Although they use their money more efficiently then other classes.
