Text z Príbehu

  • I dare you to knock on Boo Radley's house.
  • Alright, but if I don't come out alive, I blame you for this.
  • GET THOSE BLACK KIDS
  • They're trying to shoot us, let's escape.
  • Yes you did! Don't assault my daughter or I injure you!
  • I did nothing wrong!
  • You see the black man in the overalls? They accuse him of assaulting a woman mostly because he's black.
  • What did he do?
  • Scout and Jem meet Dill near their house during the summer. They become friends and dare each other to knock on the door of their neighbor that hasn't went outside in years. This plays an important part in the end of the story. After summer, Dill has to go back to his home school, which is far away from Maycomb
  • He's trying to run without thinking just to escape to freedom! Shoot him!
  • CRACK
  • Scout, Jem and Dill decide to talk about the rumors of Mayfield at a pond during nighttime. They were trespassing on a resident's property. The residents think they were some black children (During the period of racism in the 1900s), so they decide to shoot them. Dill's pants gets stuck on the fence while they escape, he had to take them off. Nobody died or got injured that night.
  • OUCH! I'm now dying of blood loss and the knife has punctured my lungs.
  • Atticus had to go to court because of a problem that happened between a woman and a black man. The black man explained that he did not assault the woman although her father accused him of doing. Jem explains to Scout that what happened was that the black man was just doing chores for the family until the woman kissed him. Then the father found out and suspected the black man of assault.
  • Is Jem okay?
  • Wouldn't Jem know any better? I never taught him how to kill, I deny your truth. I still think Jem directly caused Bob's death.
  • Jem did not kill Bob, Bob tripped onto a root of a tree and fell on his knife. I can show you proof. I repeat, Jem did not kill Bob
  • Once the black man was jailed, during exercise time, he made a run for freedom but during the time he was sprinting, they noticed and shot him twice in the back. His family was devastated.
  • CRACK
  • Jem was walking with Scout after she ruined a play, making all of the audience disappointed. Jem told Scout to stop walking because he heard a rustle in the forest. Turns out, there was a man named Bob Ewells that disliked black people and people who defend them. He specifically targeted Atticus' children and still died due to his own mistake of tripping on his own knife. He also broke Jem's arm.
  • Jem has broken his arm while defending Scout from Bob Ewell. His family stays with him while Atticus argues with his friend whether or not he killed Bob or Bob killed himself.
