That was officially our last LES Tutorial for the year. What can you say you've learnt from LES?
That was a spectacular conclusion! I have learnt so much throughout the year. Namely writing aspects such as summarizing, paraphrasing and referencing. I would say that I've effectively strengthened my knowledge in these aspects because they were not only implemented by one tutor, I had the privilege to be taught by 2
Is there anything in particular that you feel you could have done better? If so, how has it affected your thinking process at this moment?
Throughout the year, the biggest issue I had was making proper use of paraphrasing and summarizing, and this was because I couldn't distinguish between them at first. Another issue I have is my essays because although I felt that I did my absolute best, the marks never reflected the effort I put in.
I feel that if I consulted with my tutors and asked them to check my essays for me, I could have overcome these issues. I have now learnt that asking questions and full participation in class is a habit that will allow me to succeed next year and I will ensure that I do so.
What are you going to do in order to improve future performance?
I'm going to consult and practice writing stories in order to improve on the writing aspects I struggle in. I was advised to work on my eye contact when presenting my debate. In order to fix that I will ensure I know my future speeches thoroughly in order to avoid looking at que cards too much. I will additionally engage more in class in order to obtain maximum marks for quizzes and future tests.
