- Good day Mayor.We met with key informants and doctors and this is what we came up with; Symptoms of headache and diarrhea are common and the source seems to be large gatherings. Research questions and hypothesis were formulated i.e. What is the prevalence,incidence and mortality rates of this mysterious disease in Springville? Who are at risk of serious illness when contacting the disease. We are going to use a cross sectional observational analytical study design to answer the research question. To ensure validity the study is going to cover a large sample size to avoid bias and at this point, we also checked hospital records for completeness and accuracy. We were able to obtain an ethical clearance from the hospital authorities however we still need to do further tests to answer all the questions.
