- Pre-commencement note:Reporter contacted and verified allegationsIntake consists of mother and newborn child.Allegations: Mother and newborn tested positive for THC. Mother stated she used in her pregnancy due to nausea. Mother stated she has a marijuana card. No criminal history for the mother. Mother has one prior verified for physical injury. Mother was the child victim and Maternal Grandfather was the AP. Mother was residing with Maternal Grandmother who was protective and no longer allowed visits with Mgfx.

- Interview with the Mother: Smoked THC once a week during pregnancy to deal with nausea. May still sue once a week but will be sure someone else watches the baby when she smokes. - Present danger was not identified. Mother admitted to recreational use of THC though she also does use to cope with anxiety. She has a plan to ensure the child isn't exposed to her use. The nurse confirmed the child suffered no withdrawals. POSC was implemented. Maternal Grandmother has no concerns for the mother's substance misuse. Mother had all needed supplies to care for the child

- Day 36: Received an email from the BHC. Completed an evaluation with the mother. She was positive for THC. No further recommendations aside from Healthy Start.
