- I should just give up on that class now, there is no way I can pull that grade up that fast. My professor would never understand. I should just start saving my own money for next semester,

- Consuela is right, If I do really well on my next assignments it will bring my grade up. It won't be perfect but it will be better. I should also email my professor and see if there is any extra credit she is willing to give or if I can turn in any late assignments for partial credit

- The challenging situation for this student is that if he does not pass his current classes his financial aid will be revoked for next semester and he will not be able to attend school anymore. This s particularly hard for Rico as he has a 68% in one of his classes and not much time to improve the grade.
- The self-talk in this cell is of a fixed mindset because it is negative and not looking for alternative solutions, Rico is not using other resources or speaking with anyone else on how he might fix this issue, The possible outcome of this self-talk is Rico simply letting himself fail a class, messing up his GPA and his financial aid and over all his self-esteem.
- The self-talk presented in this cell is of a growth mindset because Rico is accepting change and not perfection, he is looking for alternative solutions and being open-minded that even though he may not pass with flying colors he can still try his best to pass to keep his financial aid and try again next semester.
