- Ren arrived in Peru and left the airport. What would he learn here? "Welcome, Ren!" said a man who was walking his way. "Hello, Hector!" He was happy to see a friendly face.
- Two hours later, they sat in Hector's home. "This is beautiful!" Ren said. He looked out at the peaceful Pacific Ocean. "Yes, it is," said Hector. "You will be out there most of the time," he teased

- Hector was right! For two weeks, Ren joined Hector on his fishing boat. The hot sun heated his face. Then, the wind would wash over him to cool him. Together, Hector and Ren caught many fish. Sea bass, tuna, and cod filled the boat. They sold the fish at the local market. That was how the community supported their families. In the evenings, Ren spent time with the neighbors.

- They sat and talked on the beach. They were proud of how they made money from the sea. Ren felt proud that he helped! "It will be hard to leave," Ren said to Hector on his last night.
- The next day, Ren continued his worldwide adventure. Ren couldn't wait to see what culture his next inspiration would be. He traveled to many countries. In Ireland, Ren learned how Gaelic music was important to the Irish. Then, he visited the high mountains of Guatemala. He met talented artists. He learned about their creative and colorful art. One artist told Ren that art is the strongest part of their identity.
- Ren returned home to Japan with many ideas about other places. He looked at the bright lights of Tokyo and had an idea! He would show visitors his home. He thought, "I learned that every place has a unique story!"
