  • Well Peyton X-Rays were discovered by a professor Wilhelm Roentgen. They were accidentally discovered in 1895 while testing weather cathode rays and that those waves could pass through a glass coated chemical screen. He named from that moment to call them X-Rays. X-Rays are electromagnetic energy waves that act similarly to light rays. They have wavelengths about 1,000 times shorter than those of light. It was discovered that x-rays can penetrate human flesh but not higher density substances such as bone or lead and that they can be photographed. These are on the EM SPectrum in between soft x-rays and gamma rays. This means that they are one of the most dangerous types of electromagnetic waves just below gamma rays. They can be dangerous if subjected to in large doses as they produce radiation.

  • Sure I would love to. X-Rays have wavelengths in the range of 0.01 to 10 nanometers and frequencies in the range of 30 petahertz to 30 exahertz and energies that range in 100 eV to 100 keV. They are shorter in wavelength than UV rays and longer than gamma rays. Amplitude of an x-ray is equal to its intensity or brightness. Just like a bright visible sunlight and how it can cause a sunburn and too much sun exposure can cause skin cancer. The same is true for X-Rays in that, they can also cause skin burns if the intensity is too high. This can also lead to Cancer from to much radiation exposure. X-Rays are highly energetic and have enough energy to break up molecules and damage living cells. X-Rays hit a material some are absorbed and others pass through. But, you have nothing to worry about. We used a protective vest for you and you had limited exposure.
