- Meet the wonderful MR CHEGGS
- Right over here we have our wonderful creature, MR CHEGGS. He is so great because of the way that his body has evolved and developed through out time.
- Why can MR CHEGGS live through the winter?
- MR CHEGGS has the ability to withstand up to -3 degrees for 8 months! He is able to do this is because he went through a process called Evolution. The evolution helped him grow and develop the genetic code he needs to be able to live.
- MR CHEGGS's freezing process pt.1
- Now MR CHEGGS has strted to freeze himself into a state hibernation. For this process to take place, first MR CHEGGS has to pee himself to cause a reaction in his blood because his cells start to dehydrate due to lack of water.

- MR CHEGGS is able to live in harsh conditions becasue he went through the correct evolution patterns.
- MR CHEGGS's freezing process pt.2
- The next process is homeostasis, the liver creates glucose, then the glucose (sugar) mixes with the urine. When the glucose and sugar mix, they create antifreeze.
- The genetic code is needed for him to be able to live. The genetic code is telling the body that it has the ability to create the anitfreeze to live during the harsh winters.

- The next thing to happen is the metabolism and bodiy functions completly stop working, The bodily functions that stop working were the lungs, heart and other major organs.
- MR CHEGGS urinating on himself is the start of the process, first, he urinates, causing it to go into his bloodstream, and then because of homeostasis (which we will learn about later), it will rehydrate the cells during the freezing.
- MR CHEGGS is defrosted!
- Then after 8 months of freezing cold weather, the ice beings to melt, and MR CHEGGS starts to defrost. After 30 minutes the heart restarts, the blood begins to flow.
- Homeostasis is a balance between all internal body systems, so when the body creates glucose, it knows to mix it with the urine to survive.

- The metabolism is the way that your body processes food and water.
- Eventually, 2 days later MR CHEGGS is fully defrosted and needs to go look for food and a mate for reproduction.
