- The news that the Americans had won The battle at Saratoga spread throughout the world.It concinced France to singed The treaty of Alliance which is an agreement to work with two countries together.This helped because they sent us troops, warships and supplies.

- General Nathanael Greene lead the Patriots forces south.In March 1781 Greenes’s forces fought with the British in North Carolina.The British won the battle but they lost almost all of their soldiers.A British leader said “Another such victory would destroy the British Army.”
