  • NEVER!
  • Ugh!
  • After receiving the news of his tragic destiny, he decides to lock up Danae in a brazen chamber. Whilst in the chamber, Zeus lays with Danae in the form of a golden shower. This led to the birth of her son, Perseus.
  • The Quest
  • Excellent idea
  • Uhh I'm gonna regret this
  • No!!!!
  • Acrisius was in denial that Zeus was the father. He locked up Perseus and Danae in a chest, and shipped them off.
  • Perseus and Danae landed on the island of Seriphos, where they were rescued by the fisherman Dictys. There they met Polydectes, king of Seriphos and brother of Dyctes. Polydectes had a strong desire for Danae and although she refused, this did not stop him, for he continued to plan a banquet.
  • However, Polydectes knew Perseus was going to object. So he devised a quest to get rid of Perseus. Unfortunately, it was Perseus' ill idea to bring him the head of Medusa.
  • Hermes and Athena
  • The Graeae
  • The Magic Items
  • Fortunately for Perseus, aid was offered by Hermes and Athena.
  • Defeating Medusa
  • The Graeae (aged ones) were the three daughters of Phorcys. They held the knowledge of the location of the three Nymphs who had magic objects necessary for Perseus to complete his task. Between the 3 of them, they shared 1 eye and one tooth which Perseus refused to give back until they told him where to locate the Nymphs.
  • Slaying the Sea Monster
  • Once Perseus found the Nymphs, they provided him with a cape of invisibility, a pair of winged sandals, and magical bag that held anything.
  • The Happy Ending
  • Perseus then travelled to the North, where he found the three Gorgons, and the most important, Medusa, who had powers to turn men into stone. He beheads her, using help from Athena and the reflection on his shield.
  • He flies back to Seriphos, Medusa's head in his bag. However, on his way he sees a princess, Andromeda, and saves her from a sea dragon sent by Poseidon. Perseus killed monster using Hermes’ scimitar and decides to bring her with him back to Seriphos.
  • Once he arrived, he turns Polydectes into stone using Medusa's head. The story ends with Perseus being a hero, and saving Danae and Andromeda.
