- Robert Baden-Powell was born on the 22th February 1857, and died on the 8th January 1941.All his life whas been an adventure; and, if today there are more than 4O million scouts, it's thanks to him !
- Robert spent his childhood at the Charterhouse school. He was a restless student, but funny, very good comedian and appreciated by his comrade. He loved to observe nature and had a gift for drawing.
- At 19, he leaves Charterhouse. He passed a military entrance exam at random. And, while he is on vacation on the yacht of a friend of his father ...
- Someone who has the same first name as you, passed the exams of the army with exelence!

- Several years have passed, B.P. is now a captain in the British Army. He repeatedly called to settle conflicts in Africa, with the Zulu, Oussoutous, Bekwai, Ashantis tribes ... And it is always with finesse and intelligence that B.P. rules the problem.
- Robert was appointed colonel in England, then sent to South Africa to protect the city of Mafeking which is besieged by the Boers. But he lacks soldiers, so he has the idea of entrusting small missions to the young people of the city. The idea of scouting is born in his head ...
- After the mafeking victory, Baden-Powell is promoted major-general, and becomes very famous. He writes several books on scouting, then organizes the first scout camp in 1907 on the island of brownsea.The Scout movement took a very large scale, and B.P. went away from the army to devote himself entirely to it.Later, he married and lived happily until the end of his life
