- The battle of Lake Erie A battle between the U.S and Britain which had left 27 Americans dead and 96 wounded whereas there were 40 British soldiers killed and 94 wounded. The battle had forced the British to abandoned Detroit which made it possible for the U.S to take over Lake Erie and the territorial northwest.
