- One day Princess Zoe was in the garden when she found a creature. Her father, King Midas, then learns what the creature is.
- That's not a goat Zoe, that's a satyr. He doesn't look well. He can be my guest.
- I found a sick goat!
- The king gives the Satyr a room in the castle. The satyr's name was Silenus.
- Who or what is that???
- My queen, he is a friend of Dionysus. Everyone must treat him with great courtesy.
- Silenus stayed at the castle for about a week. A few days after he left Midas was walking in the garden.
- Could I have the power of everything I touch turns to gold?
- Hello King Midas. I am here to grant you a gift to thank you for helping Silenus. What would you like?
- Dionysus!
- Sure. "Midas, all that you touch shall turn to gold."
- That's a foolish wish but ok
- The king rushes into the castle to try out his new power and it works. Zoe then finds him and asks her father what's going on. He said "The most wonderful thing," and hugged her. Afterward...
- Oh no what have I done? I have turned my daughter into gold!!!
- King Midas goes to wash away his tears using the fountain, but he turns the water to gold. Then he realized how cruel his gift was.
- "Lord Dionysus, save me from this cursed metal!"
- "Go to the river that flows by the great city of Sardis. Make your way upstream until you come to the source. Plunge your head and body at the same moment into the foaming fountain, where it gushes out, and wash away your foolishness."
- I pity him so I'll help him.
- King Midas did what he was told, and it works. He gets rid of his power and never takes all things that are simple and natural again.
