Becoming a Knight

- Hi my name is Chase. I am 7 years old and I am here to train to become a knight. I will spend the next 7 years as a page.
- Welcome to sir Raleigh's castle. My name is Sir Benjamin Raleigh and I'm the king of this kingdom.
- As a page, I will learn how to care for and handle horses. I am also learning how to handle weapons.
- When I am not caring for the king's horses or learning how to fight and joust, I am learning how to read and write.
- When I turn 14 years old, I will become a squire. A squire’s duties included polishing the knight’s armor, taking care of the knight’s horses, and making sure his weapons were in working order. That's why I am putting on this knight's armor for him
- Hey, hurry and make sure my weapons are clean and ready as well as tend to my horse!
- I will follow my king everywhere and continue practicing my weapons skills and I will even begin to wear armor. I will become strong and physically fit.
- Between the ages of 18 and 21, I will hopefully have enough money to buy my own armor and a horse, so that the king can make me a knight. He will place the sword on my shoulders and dub me a knight!!
