- Professor Smith teaches Introduction to Journalism. This is his tenth year teaching and he has a very good reputation for engaging students and having an interactive class.
- In my class, we go on a trust retreat so that we can all get to know one another better, so be ready on September 15th for some team building!
- Josh is a freshmen at the University of Kentucky in Professor Smith's class. He is uncertian how he will connect with his professor at his new school, in a hybrid learning environment.
- I feel like this retreat is pointless.
- There is no way this will make me any more connected to him. He’s always going to be ‘the professor.’
- I feel like Mr. Smith doesn’t get what we are struggling with, coming to college as a freshman is hard.
- Sam is sophpomore at the University of Kentucky and she has never had an in-person class becuase of Covid-19. She is looking forward to to Professor Smiths class because of his ability to engage with students.
- I mean I'm a sophomore and I’m nervous to go talk to him.. Will this ever get better?
- The students are in Mr. Smiths class on the first day of school.
- Students talk after class.The students share their feelings on the trust retreat and both criticize it.
- After the first 2 weeks of class, Josh and Sam discuss their struggles and worries about this learning environment. They feel very unconnected and lost.
