Hello! I want to share something to you! It's all about Homeostasis! As you can see, it is very cold out here so my body is shivering. Now, what does the cold weather have something to do with homeostasis? Okay, let's take a walk first.
Homeostasis is not limited to only humans but also animals and plants but for now, I will only talk about homeostasis in the human body.
There are many, many ways that the human body attempts to maintain. Homeostasis and body temperature are one of them. So when I stepped outside, I started shivering. Why is that?
What took the taxi so long? I'm shivering alreadyyy.
But aside from the automatic response of our body, we humans can also contribute for quicker body stabilization.
For example, if you are on a beach, it is advisable to wear light, thin and loose clothing, like swimsuit, so that your body will stay cool. Clothing can control heat by changing how much radiation it allows to escape the body or how air can circulate.
Shamefully, what I'm wearing is not suitable for beach getaway,
Overall, you have to always assess and evaluate what your body is feeling. In this way, you'll help the internal environment to stay stable to avoid unwanted diseases.
Other ways of maintaining homeostasis is drinking water or any liquid, cold for hot days and hot drinks for rainy days. Also, go somewhere well-ventilated and avoid moving too much and too less.
