- The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street Theme: mankind is its own worst enemy
- I think this theme fits the film because everyone turns on each other and they all become enemy's and someone even got shot. I think this theme fits the story because there was a alien space ship crash or something like that and all the residents of maple street came outside very confused and assumed it was a meteor but later on in the story everyone's power went out in their house and even their cars. and later on Les Goodman tries to start his car but fails and he steps away and it turns on by itself and I assume the aliens are messing with them but they all turn on les goodman and say that he is most causing all these problems and everyone turns on him but Steve tries to stop everyone because their all talking nonsense and then when it gets dark charlie sees a shadow figure walking towards them so he snatches a shotgun and shoots it but sadly it was just one of the maple street residents checking if the other neighberhood had power and everyone turns on charlie. And so on so on but they do find out who was the imposter. In conclusion this shows that mankind is its own worst enemy. ps. the imposter was little boy Timmy
