- Britian, spain, and france had all been competing for land in the new world and fighting broke out in 1756 between britian and france over land in ohio.
- French and Indian war
- This war was the local American Indians joined with the French against the British. The conflict was only because the French thought the British settlers would try to take their land. This war just rose more tension leading up to the revolutionary war.
- Proclamation of 1736
- Tell the colonists they cannot move west of the appalachion mountians
- The king told the colonists that they could not settle in the land they just claimed so the Indians could have it and this made the colonists very angry

- The stamp act basically taxed almost everything that the colonists bought except for food and this made them very very mad
- Liberty boys
- Group of protesters of the unfiar laws england makes. Group that wants colonies to be free and independent.
- Declaration of independence
- A letter to great Britain declaring their independence as a separate country now
