- In this chapter Lizzie was trying to escape without getting caught because she was stealing from the supply depots with Looper and then Lina later finds out and chases Lizzie. Then her cans that she stole started to spill everywhere. After she stopped so she could pick them up.

- In this chapter, Lina enters a locked room in the pipe works and she found the mayor sleeping with canned foods that were stolen from the city. Then Lina went to go get Doon so he could see this for himself. She then tells the guards about what she saw.
- A New World

- In the chapter, Poppy was chewing on the paper that Granny was looking for. Then Lina tries to decode the message by putting it back together. Also she gets Doon to help her fix the words and solve it.
- The Discovery

- I think they ere trying to leave their city
- In this chapter Lina Doon and Poppy all got on a boat and were going through a river that was pushing them fast. They had to use all their power and strength to paddle fast. Then they finally reached the end of the river.
- In the chapter Lina and Doon start to discover things they have never seen before. They later discover that there is light on top of them that doesn't go away. Then they find berries that they liked a lot.
- In the chapter Lina and Doon and Zidan read a book that they found that was written by a old woman and they think it was written a long time ago. Then they figured out that they used the same path they went out of Ember from. Then when they checked they realised their city was underground.
