  • Most royal sir, Fleance is 'scaped.
  • But Bannquo's safe?
  • Which of you have done this?!?!
  • Gentlemen, rise. His highness is not well.
  • Sit, Worthy friends.My Lord is often thus.
  • *Prithee, see there! Behold! Look! Lo! How say you?*
  • *Why do you make such faces? When all's done, You look but on a stool.*
  • King Macbeth is told Banquo's Son, Fleance, has escaped his death right before he has dinner with several Lords. This keeps the possibility of his reign ending even more prominent.
  • I do forget. Do not muse at me, my most worthy friends. I have a strange infirmity, which is nothing to those who know me.
  • My worthy Lord, Your noble friends lack you.
  • Before Macbeth's dinner, he "sees" Banquo's ghost sitting in his seat.

  • Gentlemen, rise. His highness is not well.
  • Sit, Worthy friends.My Lord is often thus.
  • Lady Macbeth asks Macbeth quietly why he is causing a scene in front of the guests. She later then claims he has an illness.
  • Macbeth claims he saw Banquo's ghost. Lady Macbeth reminds Macbeth that he has guests to attend to. He blames his tomfoolery on an illness. He claims his illness is known by his closest friends.
