  • Villain - Heathcliff
  • Omen and Curses
  • Setting and Atmosphere
  • Heathcliff was a very confusing person, he was rejected and forced to labor by his half brother. He then left and came back in 3 years and after his half brother died Heathcliff took over the manor. He married Isabella Linton and treated he cruelly for how bad Linton treated him.
  • Paranormal / Supernatural - Cathy's Ghost
  • The place was set in a small town in a big manor where people came back and forth from London. This Manor was passed down by many people and all of them were cruel. It's like every person that ever owned the manor became a cruel, cold hearted person. This curse was broken when Hareton and Catherine Linton moved in because they were both nice people.
  • Romance
  • Wuthering Heights was set in a misty or gloomy town where lots of cruelty and revenge happens. There is almost no time in the story where there is happiness and its when there is some it gets drowned by revenge and sadness every time.
  • Childhood
  • Cathy's Ghost kept haunting Heathcliff even after she died because Heathcliff still loved her and wanted to keep her near him. She haunted him everyday until death and having a ghost around is quite paranormal.
  • There was loads of romance in this story. Heathcliff and Cathy fell in love from an early age but when Linton returned from collage he forced Heathcliff to do manual labor. This meant that Cathy didn't want to be with him and wanted to be with a wealthy man. She went on to marry Edgar Linton and he owned the manor. After Heathcliff died later in the story Hareton and Young Catherine fell in love and had planned to get married.
  • Will you marry me?
  • YES!!!
  • The novel shows that the impacts of childhood never fade away even if a child is raised in a high mansion like Wuthering Heights. Heathcliff shows the wild side of his nature despite having got a space with the upper class.
