- This scene shows Drew and his mother talking about something on the news that they just saw. The thing they saw was about the youth of America and how young people are doing some pretty terrible things. "Two high school boys were involved in a vicious robbery shoot-out in New York's Harlem community, 0 dead one wounded," said the news presenter.
- This scene shows when coach House put Drew on the bench because he wouldn't give Tomas the ball. This is when the team learns the coaches intentions and that is to make Tomas the Star player on the team no matter what. The team was not happy with the coach's decision but they couldn't do anything about it so they just had to accept it. Tomas is from the Czech Republic and moved due to poor living conditions.
- This scene shows Tomas inviting Drew to his house and Drew learns about Tomas's family and why they came to the United States. Things that Drew learned were where the Czech Republic was. Drew learned that Tomas's dad played basketball and soccer in the Czech Republic. Drew learned that Tomas's dad had been injured in a war and walked with a cane until he died. Drew learned that Tomas's dad was a teacher and that both of Tomas's parents went to jail protesting for their freedom from the Czech Republic Government.
- This scene shows Ruffy one of Drew's friends asking him if he wanted to go hangout with him and someone who was supposed to be in jail. Drew finds out the guys trial date was set for 3 months later than Drew thought so he hadn't been trialed yet. Tony wanted to prepare for his trial day so they went clothes shopping for thing for Tony to wear.
- This scene shows Drew's dad consulting him about his grades. His dad bring up the argument of that he can't attend many top college do to his poor grades. Drew brought up the fact if basketball works out he won't need an education and he should just focus on basketball. Then Drew left to go ask his friend about what he should do.
- This scene shows Drew and his team losing the state championship by one point. This the farthest they've ever gone into the playoffs and they blame their coach for losing even though they played well. Most of the players agreed if Drew played more instead of being bench they would've won.
