- The French and Indian war was fought between France and British America over land in North America. This war is known as the French and Indian war because of the Native American allies both sides had.
- Boston Tea Party
- The stamp, sugar, and tea acts were taxes set up by King George III in an attempt to pay back the money spent on the French and Indian war. The colonists revolted against these taxes and began the unrest that would eventually lead to the Revolutionary War.
- Intolorable Acts
- The Boston Massacre was an interaction in which a group of British soldiers was being harassed by a group of colonists who would continue to shoot and kill several people. This event was highly publicized by people such as Paul Revere and Samuel Addams.
- Lexington and concord
- The Boston Tea Party was a protest in which the sons of liberty would dress as Native Americans and throw crates of tea into the ocean to demonstrate their feelings on the tea act.
- The intolerable acts were a series of laws put in place to punish colonists for their actions In the Boston tea party. These laws closed Boston Harbor, sent more troops to Boston, and gave Great Britain control over the state's governments.
- The battles of Lexington and Concord would mark the beginning of the revolutionary war. With the first fire shot, it would begin a seven-year-long battle that would eventually result in a newly independent country.
