- Then I can't eat it, because I'm a a jain and I follow Lord Mahavira's followings. He was a great man and explained us that animals are not for our taste and they play an important role in nature!
- Oh yes ofcourse! Lord Mahavira, also known as Vardhamana was the 24th and the last tirthankara of jainism. He was born in the c.599 BCE in Kshatriyakund in present-day Vaishali, Bihar. At the age of 30, he left his family and royal households, gave up his worldly possesions, even clothing and became a monk. He spent the next 12yrs in deep meditation and preached 5 vows - those are ahimsa (non-violence), satya(truth), asteya(non-stealing), aparigraha(non-attachment) and brahmacharya(celibacy). It is believed that he passed and attaine moksha at the age of 72 in 468 BC at a place called Pavapuri modern Rajgir in Bihar.
