- Jing is the cook in the Kennedy house and to Lizzy, he is like family. One day on his day off he leaves the house. he was gone for a long time until Lizzy discovers his son living in the attic. Soon when Jing does not return Lizzy and Noah-Jings son- Start to get worried that he has disappeared.
- Oh No! Jing Is missing!
- Lizzy is tired of waiting for Jing to come back. she and Noah are very worried so she decides to go to Chinatown. Chinatown is under quarantine because of the plague and Jing is in there. Lizzy tries to get in but the police don't let her because no one is supposed to go in and no one is supposed to go out.
- Sir, you have to let me in! My cook is in the quarantine but he does not belong there.
- sorry you cant go in. if he is in there it must be because he belongs there.
- Lizzy goes to Aunt Hortense's house and they talk. She tells Lizzy about how she saw Jings son at the funeral. she tells Lizzy how she realizes Lizzy's dream to become a doctor. she tells her she can go to college and live her dream. Lizzy tells Aunt Hortense that she will not lie to her anymore and their relationship begins to mend.
