- After returning troops home from the Russo-Japanese war the Tsar falls back on his duma creating new laws once again giving him the power. These laws are enforced by the troops and the soviets dismantled. This is how Tsar Nicholas survived the 1905 revolution.
- Tsar Nicholas begins to improve the Russian economy by reforming farming. If the peasants chose otherwise they would be killed. In turn this leads to the deaths of thousands of farmers. The Russian economy begins to take a turn in the right direction.
- Tsar Nicholas befriends an alleged sorcerer known as Rasputin. The child of Nicholas suffers from haemophilia. Somehow Rasputin manages to cure the child of the condition leading to the Tsar and Rasputin becoming even closer. The public is very critical of Rasputin and his relationship with the Tsar.
- World War I breaks out across the globe and the capital is renamed to the more Russian sounding Petrograd (instead of St. Petersburg). A wave of nationalism sweeps across the country with everyone cheering Russia on in the war.
- All this nationalism was short lived as Germany runs through an inefficient and resource depleted Russian army taking large amounts of land. The Russian economy nosedives, army resources are used rapidly, and hunger is wide spread throughout
