- There were once 4 sisters Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. They were poor and had big dreams. Meg just wanted to marry rich and live a happy life. Jo wants to be a famous author. Beth wants to be a musician. And Amy wants to be a artist.
- The sisters lived with Marme (their mom). And next door lived the Laurence family. The girls always wanted to be friends with Laurie but they didn't know how until...
- They met in a party, Meg was trying to fit in. but Laurie and Jo were trying to have fun. But Meg got hurt and Laurie and Jo helped her and rode with her home.
- Ever since then they all became good friends. they went to theLaurence a lot. Even Beth was brave enough to secretly go to the big houses. Mr. Laurence even got Beth a small piano.
- Amy was in debt to other girls because of the latest trends pickled limes. She got money from Jo to fill her debt. A girl who was always mean to Amy started being nice, but when Amy called her of she told the teacher that Amy had pickled limes. Limes were recently banned from the class all the Limes were thrown away.
- Jo and Amy got into a big fight, Amy was sick and Jo with Meg and Laurie went to a show. When they came home Amy threw Jo's book into a fire. After Jo and Laurie went ice skating Amy wanted to come again but they said no. Amy went after them and fell through the ice. Jo froze but Laurie saved the day. Jo was angry at her self but Marme made her happy and the two made up.
