- Well, you can still extract some valuable metals from it like gold or platinum, but it's really dangerous and unhealthy to do
- Yes it is, it is energy intensive, and releases dangerous gases, like dioxins, and it's very toxic
- Yes, that's why we have to create and buy less electronics and making them not obsolete so they last longer and aren't dumped out anywhere.
- True, but what is obsolete?
- Well, obsolete basically means that it's no longer used or is out of date.
- Well, that makes sense, if they made it last longer we would have less e-waste in our landfills
- Yeah, but what I don't get is why a company would produce products with planned obsolence in mind
- Hmm, well maybe this could be becuause the company wants customers to keep buying more products. This is bad because it produces more e-waste!
- Then I should use my electronics until they are fully unusable to help the environment. We should go,the fire is getting bigger!
