- After Lennie and George were able to escape the hunt, they needed to meet with their soon to be boss at their new job opportunity.They spent the night before the meeting in the forest and established a plan where if Lennie ever does something bad, he was to come back to the same spot as they they are now and wait for Gerge to get back.
- Lennie and George had to leave where they were previously working to try and escape from getting killed after Lennie's incident happened. He wanted to feel how soft a womens dress was when she then began to panic and it was a chain reaction to Lennie. The only thing he could think to do at this point was to hold on tight but she then further began to run into the town to get help causing a hunt for Lennie and George.
- The next morning they get settled and face many adventures for the next few days. Curly and Lennie get in a fight, they made some new friends and even come up with the idea of buying their own piece of land to live on. If Lennie Geroge and Candy all save up their earnings for the next few weeks, they would have enough money have their own place to call home. Little did they know this plan wouldn't be that easy.
- One day Lennie was in the barn and decided to pick up one of the new puppys to play with it. The puppy bit Lennie a little to hard that it startled him, causing Lennie to throw the puppy across the barn. Sine Lennie is very strong, it unfortunately killed the little pup. Lennie knew he messed up and became sad and angry all at the same time. The biggest thing he was worried about is if George would find out.
- Lennie was a nervous break down until Curlys wife came in to try and help reassure him. One of the methods she used to try and calm Lennie down was letting him feel how soft her hair was. Just as he did with the previous girls dress, when he was asked to let go he panicked and grabbed tighter. Curlys wife freaked out and while Lennie was trying to get her to be quiet, he snapped her neck leaving her lifeless on the floor in a pile of hay.
- Lennie ran to the spot he was told to go after he had done something bad and a search party had been sent out to find him. Curly was ferrous and wanted to kill Lennie himself but George didn't let that happen. He found Lennie first and started telling him about their dream of living off the fat of the land. Before he even new it Lennie was peacefully put to rest.
