- Hmm, I need to make this reaction speed up! I don't have all day! What do I have around the lab that I could try?
- Oh yeah! I have some bunsen burners! I could use the heat to give the reactants more kinetic energy, therefore making them move quicker and collide more! That could make the rate increase!
- Oh no! I think I used too big of a bunsen burner! I'll have to find another way to increase the rate of the reaction. I really have to go so this needs to be fast!
- Now that the firetruck is leaving, I can try something else. Maybe I could increase the concentration of the substance to increase the number of reactants, therefore there will be more collisions and a faster reaction!
- Oh no! I added far too much of the substance! I'll have to try something else.
