- In this futuristic society in North Carolina, only two children are allowed per household. Andrew " Ender " Wiggen is a third. His siblings Peter, and Valentine were not chosen for battle school resulting in another child for the family. The government monitors very closely to see if you should go to Battle School to help with the bugger war. Ender was chosen leaving his family behind.
- Climax
- Ender goes to Battle School which is located in space. Here Ender is treated poorly but learns to overcome. Also learning his skills in combat. The teachers are his enemy as they push him harder and harder because they need him to win the war with the buggers.
- Falling Action
- How can you live again?
- Ender is at command school on a new planet. Ender will learn how to be a commander and win the war with the buggers. He goes though simulations and watches old films to learn new tactics with the man who won the previous battles. Time is getting cut short as the buggers are nearing closer.
- Resolution
- Ender is in a final simulation battle between the buggers. This battle takes place at the home world of the buggers. Ender orders his formation which was greatly outnumbered to fire at the planet the only chance to defeat them. Many commanders are watching him to see if he has what it takes to win the war. Ender had successfully destroyed all buggers, it was real. Ending the third invasion. Ender is devastated.

- After Ender destroyed the entire population of buggers and killing many others Him and Valentine colonized a bugger planet. Here Ender found his imaginative world created for him by the buggers. Ender explored and he found a pupa of the last remaining queen bugger. Ender is the speaker for the dead as he is the only one who can communicate with the buggers and he is to find the perfect place for the pupa.
- Ender and Valentine travel from planet to planet looking for the perfect location that will sustain the pupa containing the queen to repopulate the buggers.
