- James is being bullied because of his sexuality even though he helped someone pick up their book. This bullying has been going on ever since he joined his new school. Bullying victims frequently endure a snowball effect of feelings and behaviours. They may initially feel hurt or confused. When the victim experiences bullying more frequently, they may start to feel angry, unworthy, and occasionally even depressed.
- Eww, why do you paint your nails that's so gay.
- James enters a stage of eating to release endorphins “happy hormones” this makes him more depressed as he goes into a rabbit hole he cant get out of. James hygiene decreases, he has a loss in interest in his hobbies and forces himself away from family and friends.
- I don't feel like painting my nails anymore
- I feel so depressed and ashamed of myself.
- Emma sees the signs of depression that James is showing but thinks to herself that he wants to be alone so she doesn't approach him instead she ignores the signs that he is showing depression. If someone is showing signs of depression you should always ask them how they are going and if they need help or resources to assist them in recovering from their depression .
- I should really ask James is he is ok but maybe he just wants to be left alone.
- I should ask Emma for some help i'm feeling really depressed and she seems nice but she will probably judge me
