Many Americans where crossing the border and buying the same land as other people. Many people started to occupy one piece of land. Americans got fed up and Haden Edwards led the people. Stephen F. Austin got them to stop right before the Mexican Army got there.
The battle Of The Alamo (1836)
Mier Y Teran, was a member of the Mexican government and he came to check on the Americans. He found that there where about 1 Mexican person to every 10 American persons. He suggest that Mexican Government Officials should do something.
The Battle of Goliad (1835)
The Law Of April 6th was published by the Mexican government to stop Americans from coming into Tejas.
The battle of San Jacinto (1836)
The Texans had a cannon that the Mexicans wanted back so they said come and take it. The Texans build` the cannon but later dug it up again to use against the Mexicans. Texians lost the battle but that only made them fight harder.
The Texans where captured and shot upon in the middle of the woods. Colonel Fannin was shot in the face and burned, the exact opposite of what he asked for. One of the most tragic battles.
VICTORY!!! The Texans beet Mexico winning indpendance.
