- Sunday evening. Romeo. In front of the Capulet mansion, Benvolio and Mercutio meet to consider attending the masquerade ball in disguise. Romeo is mocked for his love of Rosaline by Mercutio.
- In the interim, Romeo meets Juliet and immediately falls in love with her rightaway.
- Obtain my sword. Does this person come here mocking our celebration while wearing a mask over his face?
- You're going to put up with him.
- At the Capulet ball, Tybalt spots Romeo and wants to pick a fight with him, but Lord Capulet forbids it.
- The valiant Paris, once you ask his bride...What do you say can you love this gentleman? Tonight you'll see him at our feast
- Signor Martino and his wife and daughters. Count Anselme and his beautiful sisters. Vitruvio's window, Signor Placentio and his lovely nieces. Mercutio and his brother Valentine. - Sunday continues. Juliet is informed by Lady Capulet about Paris marriage proposal and his scheduled visit at the Capulet Mall that evening. Juliet gives her permission to assess him and ask her opinion.
- Romeo and Benvolio saw a Capulet servant bringing an invitation to a ball being thrown at the Capulet mansion that evening. The friends decide to go through the fence to get into the ball.
- I'll strive to like him while I observe him. if what I see is likeable, at least.
