  • Simile: "Her hair hung in little rolled clusters, like sausages."(pg. 15)
  • Foreshadowing:"Lennie stared at the the doorway where she had been. "Gosh, she was purty."" (pg. 16)
  • Figurative Meaning: In order for Lennie to remember what to do if he gets in trouble, he repeats George's directions for him multiple times to himself.
  • Figurative Meaning: This simile shows that her hair was so tightly curled and stiff that they looked like little sausages.
  • Foreshadowing: This scene represents foreshadowing, because we know that Lennie has had problems with women before so now that he has an interest in Curley's wife, something might happen later on.
