- In Sparta boys would stay at home until the age of 7 .and would go to military training there but then they go send to where they got taught to read and write but they didn't find that important they thought fighting was more important.

- Once here there only purpose was to protect Sparta. they were encourage fight one and other, they were only given one piece of clothing to get ready for the weather they might have at war, they were given little food so they were encourage to steal and punished if they were caught in the act.
- They had an annual contest of endurance know as the diamagnetism. where teenage boys were whipped in front of the altar and some of them died in front of the alter. They would get whipped until they tapped out.
- The girl still lived with their mother but they still have to sever sparta with their lives . They went to school to learn how to read and write and the arts. and they thought that only strong woman could have kids to become warriors.

- Only men who died in war and woman who died in childbirth got tombstones because they die so sparta could live.
