Believe me on my honor, and respect that honor so that you will believe me
Brutus' speech-Pathos
Who here is so lowly that he would willingly be a slave?
Brutus' speech-Logos
Caesar was valiant, so I honored him; but Caesar was also ambitious, so I killed him
This is Pathos because Brutus is trying to justify his reasoning for killing Caesar and he started the speech off by telling the people that he is an honorable man. He said this to make his audience believe that he was a good person and he did this action in the honor of Rome
Anthony's speech-Ethos
I come to speak at Caesar's funeral. Caesar was my friend, faithful and just to me.
This is Ethos because Brutus is telling the audience that if Caesar became the king then instead of them being worried about him they would actually become slaves. He did this to try to make his audience think that Caesar would have made them slaves.
Anthony's speech-Pathos
This is logos because Brutus is explaining why he killed Caesar.
Anthony's speech-Logos
This is pathos because Mark Antony is telling the audience that he knew Caesar personally and how close he was to him. This makes the audience think that they should listen to someone who is already close to Caesar and his opinions.
This is ethos because this is showing the audience that he would've been a good king and that their is no one in this town that is praising him for the good things that he has done.
Now he lies dead, here, and there is no humble enough to mourn him
This is logos because this is explaining to the audience that Caesar was a humble man who cared about his people.
I presented him with a kindly crown three times, which he refused three times.
